If you're having any issues installing the setup, feel free to reach out for help on our discord: discord.gg/gyRJbeRutP ## 516559

 # How do I install our setup properly?
1. Extract this .zip file to a folder.
2. Grab files from the specific version folder you desire.
3. [!!!] Read all content in files (almost every changed setting has a comment (unfortunately server.properties doesn't allow us to make comments there), so you can change everything to your needs without researching it on the Internet)
^^^ Please make sure that you have changed your server port, ip address, velocity or bungeecord support, etc. while pasting our configuration to your server files!
4. Make sure to read this whole file to choose the best software and use the best strategies to optimize your server.
5. That's all, Your server is now going to run more smoothly and hopefully without any lag-spikes! (Eula is set to true by default, but make sure that you know what it is if you're making a server)

 # Server jars that i do recommend for each version:
1. 1.21-1.21.11 - I would suggest you to simply run on Pufferfish, it has many entity optimizations and useful patches (https://pufferfish.host/downloads)
2. 1.20-1.20.6 - For this version, I would recommend you using Purpur, since it's fork of Pufferfish (unfortunately not in 1.20.6 version)
with additional features (such as tpsbar, mob riding, and more Quality Of Life options), however, if you don't need any of these settings, just go for a Pufferfish.
Pufferfish can be downloaded here -> https://pufferfish.host/downloads , and purpur here -> https://purpurmc.org/downloads
3. 1.17-1.19.4 - I would recommend you to simply use Pufferfish, Purpur or pure Paper, if you're looking for further optimizations you can take a look at some other forks on GitHub.
4. 1.16-1.16.5 - For those versions I would suggest using Paper or some other forks like SSSpigot.

 # How do I prevent dupes/exploits/bugs?
The best known practice to prevent exploits and bugs is simply running the newest version of the game and regularly updating it.
However, I've made some changes to this setup so any known exploits (spigot related, such as tab-complete crash, armor-stand lag etc.) won't take place on your server.
Also, if you want to be 99% sure that your server won't get harmed by exploiters, you could take a look at LPX - pretty well known (many big servers use it), a good anti-exploit/anti-crash plugin that's going to
fix any packet-related crashes and any known exploits easily. Here's where you can buy it -> https://builtbybit.com/resources/lpx-antipacketexploit.15709/
Another tip to protect your server from any potential exploits/bugs is to download plugins from trusted sites. I highly discourage downloading plugins from sites such as BlackSpigot
or anything like that, many "cracked" plugins from there have malware or hidden commands that might harm your server. The best practice is to buy/download only trusted plugins or get custom ones' from
trusted developers / open source sites.

 # There are a few other tips on how to keep your server optimized:
1. Schedule frequent restarts (once a day or two), this will keep your server in good condition and help your garbage collector.
2. Make spark reports - You can easily find out what's causing lags on your server by doing such a simple thing as running and analyzing spark reports. Everything about that can be found here: https://spark.lucko.me/docs/guides/Finding-lag-spikes
3. Pre-generate your world (when there's no players obviously) using a plugin, for instance - Chunky: https://modrinth.com/plugin/chunky, this will massively reduce your lags related to chunk-loading/unloading.
4. Using good pre-configured startup flags. I recommend these ones: https://docs.papermc.io/paper/aikars-flags, but if you're looking for more advanced ones, take a look here: https://github.com/brucethemoose/Minecraft-Performance-Flags-Benchmarks
5. If you're struggling with redstone lag-machines - you could test our high performance redstone limiter, which is located in the "additional plugins" folder.
6. Join our Discord support server, so you will get immediately informed about new exploits and critical bugs in #exploits channel (you must verify that you bought our resource to see that channel).
